God wants to change your name. In the Semitic/Hebrew language they call something what it is. What you are known for becomes your reputation or your name. People had an experience with Jacob and called him what they had experienced. Jacob’s experiences had convinced him that he was someone that he was not. God had an encounter with Jacob and said they are calling you the wrong thing; you are a prince! Maybe, some people have had experiences with you and have tried to label you. Perhaps, this has influenced the way you see yourself. Take courage, the same God that had an encounter with a prince wants to have an encounter with you. When you are done, you will have a new identity, name (reputation) and purpose for your life. You are who God says you are!
