Mona Turner ~ Engaging and Informative!!!
This book was a great read that examines how our adult personalities are shaped by our experiences and people we encounter early in life. I found the different Sandbox Personalities that the author identifies to be really intriguing and insightful. I discovered my sandbox personality and from childhood stories told by mom, I am pretty sure it is spot on. The content and exercises in the book are thought provoking and really causes a shift in thinking about the different types of relationships we have. Sandbox Personalities also helps you to consider your own personal leadership style from the lens of your own experiences. Great read and I would highly recommend it!
Hugh Gandolph ~ You must have been looking over my shoulder!
Terrific! When I read your book, I was most impressed by how clearly and precisely you describe the many types of people whom I have encountered in my life and career – in particular, “Taker”, “Crusher”, and “My Sander”. Fortunately, I have also met a few who meet the criteria for “Share Sander”, and these have been models who embody the qualities I have tried very hard to emulate, especially “Doing the right thing”, “Going the extra mile to help others”, and “Having a relentless drive to make a difference”. These are the essence of my core beliefs. Thank you so much for spelling them out so clearly.
Leah Payton ~ A perfect read while you’re chilling on the beach!
This book was very insightful and triggered my own introspection. I not only recognized family and “friends”, I recognized so many facets of myself. This read has helped me tremendously to deal with people – especially my clients! Very tastefully written. Clear, concise and so vivid!! The anecdotes and analogies used were so on point and hilarious; I could actually visualize grown folks doing these things in a sandbox!
